March 8 is the International Women's Day, so Washington DC offers a couple of amazing events to commemorate this revolutionary occasion. On Saturday, remember the great US First Ladies that has helped transform this country. Watch a beautiful documentary film by Indigenous filmmaker and activist Merata Mita about a great woman in his life, his Mother.

Shake and Groove to Caribbean Music

Howard Theatre

It's the weekend and time shake off the weekday blues with the best Caribbean music at the Reggae Fest VS Soca at the Howard Theatre from Saturday evening all the way to the Sunday morning. This event is presented by Epic League Entertainment. Doors open at 11:00 PM.

Join Herstory 5K 2020

Stand up and run for women! Join the #FITDC Herstory 5k 2020 this Saturday and take part in the movement for women empowerment. The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and is dome in partnership with the  National Women's History Museum.
