What Are the Latest Home Design Trends?
Here are five recent home design trends that I love the look of.
What are the latest design trends? We’ve gone through a ton of trends recently, so today I want to talk about some 2022 design trends I’m enjoying :
Painted interior doors. This is when the interior doors are painted a slightly darker color than the walls. It can create a neat effect and make your doors more interesting.
Natural floors. We’ve gone through tons of flooring trends, but I’ve seen some lately that were just a natural hue that had been sanded in place and given a matte finish. It preserves the natural wood grain and makes small spaces feel brighter.
Beaded light fixtures. These work well in older homes because they’re a timeless (if not slightly vintage) design style. They can be a great accent that adds warmth to a space, unlike most light fixtures.

Wallpaper. Wallpaper has been around forever, but bold patterns in small spaces work very well. They look great as accents behind beds, in a hallway, or even in a bathroom. Peel-and-stick wallpaper options are easy to apply and can be removed if you change your mind.
Plants. I love plants, and recently, I’ve seen more homes incorporating plant displays as part of their design. These displays can add an earthy element, and they complement lots of different styles very well.
If you have any questions about these trends or real estate in general, feel free to call or email me. I’d love to help.
