Here’s what you need to ask yourself before deciding to purchase a home.

“Is now a good time to buy?” I get this question more than any other, but the truth is that there’s no definitive answer; it's different for everyone. That being said, there are two questions every buyer should ask themselves before deciding whether or not to purchase a home.

The first one is, “Can you purchase?” In other words, are you financially able to get a mortgage? If the answer is no, you should probably wait. If the answer is yes, it’s time to ask yourself the second question: “Can you buy a home that you're satisfied with and meets your investment strategy?”

"There are absolutely great opportunities for buyers right now."

If the answer to this question is yes, I believe there is no reason not to purchase a home right now. You may have to get creative with your purchasing strategy, but that’s no reason not to buy. Some buyers have turned to house hacking, which is when you rent out a portion of your home while living in it.

I think that there are absolutely great opportunities for buyers right now because sellers are willing to negotiate. If you are interested in purchasing, call or email me for a free consultation. We can discuss your strategy and what makes sense for you moving forward. I look forward to hearing from you!
